Welcome to Salt Works Fishing Company, owned and operated by Captain Ty Jones. As a USCG captain, Ty loves fishing for a living and in his personal time he hosts memorable inshore fishing experiences in one of the largest saltwater estuaries, the Great Tampa Bay. Capt. Ty is proud to have grown up in this area targeting snook, red fish, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, triple tail and cobia.
With a passion for teaching, Capt. Ty is adept at guiding a first timer to their first catch or helping a seasoned angler hone their skills. Ty's passion for fishing and his commitment to his client's success shine through. Captain Ty Jones' runs a specialized 22-foot Ranger bay fishing boat, the perfect vessel for exploring the diverse waters of Tampa Bay. With a capacity for up to 5 people, including the captain, this boat offers both versatility and comfort. Designed to navigate shallow waters near the mangroves with ease, it also provides a smooth ride over the deeper expanses of Tampa Bay. Yes, children over the age of 6 are welcome on all our charters!
Do we get to choose what kind of fish we target?
Yes, however, please keep in mind that fishing in Tampa Bay is seasonal. We try to accommodate our charter guests as best as we can, but that is not always possible. Take a look below at our seasonal fishing guide!
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Capt. Ty is a USCG (United States Coast Guard) licensed & insured Captian.
Are we guaranteed to catch fish on our charter?
Captain Ty excels in his role, and although it's uncommon for him not to catch anything, we must remember that we can't dictate the whims of Mother Nature. Some days, fishing can be more challenging than usual. Rest assured, we will put in our utmost effort to ensure your fishing rods are consistently in action.
Upon booking your fishing charter, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required. This deposit secures your reservation and allows us to prepare for your upcoming fishing excursion.
Cancellation Before Two Weeks:
If you need to cancel your reservation more than two weeks before your scheduled fishing charter, you will receive a 50% refund of your deposit.
